Volunteers that are assisting with Athlete Check-In on Friday (May 11) need to arrive at The Boneyard at 5:00 p.m. Volunteers who signed up to help from 6:00 a.m. to noon on Saturday need to check in at the Information Tent, located to the left of the Amphitheater, at 6 a.m. Saturday. Volunteers who signed up to help from noon to 6:00 p.m. (or later for clean up) on Saturday need to check in at the Information Tent at noon. When Volunteers check in they will receive a name tag, an event shirt if available, and a task with instructions. Judges and Volunteers assisting with Check-In and on Saturday will receive shirts before Volunteers assisting only for a short period of time on Saturday. (Sorry but we had to estimate the number of shirts and sizes.)
Judges are required to attend the Judges Meeting at 7 p.m. on Friday night and therefore, may not assist in the Athlete Check-In. At the Judges Meeting, our Head Judges will brief those who will be judging on movement standards and the workouts. Coach David will also be providing Judging 101 tips and best practices. At that time, Judges will receive their shirts and name tags. Head Judges include: Coaches David, Greg C., Greg H., Mike and Nate from CrossFit Montgomery, friend Christina from CrossFit RPM, and Coaches Amber and Drew Hill from Carport CrossFit (who are hosting a Garage Games event in October). We may need assistance from judges who are willing to help finish setting up at the Riverfront after the Judges Meeting.
Athlete Check-In and the Judges Meeting are both held at The Boneyard, CrossFit Montgomery’s gym, located at 41 East Railroad Street, Montgomery, AL 36104.
